Lotus is a chair that fits perfectly in outdoor environments as well as indoor. It is not only a piece of furniture but a sculptural element that interacts with its surroundings and becomes easily readable. The idea behind the design is to create a chair that will never be at the same position where found but also that will move slowly to the body movement. It is a relaxing sofa-chair that can be used by one person at a time or can be used as playful furniture between 2 or more people.

Materiality
The main body of the chair is wood. It consists of 3 parts which are also part of smaller wooden pieces. The sitting place (which follows the form of the wood) is foam and it is dressed with a different material depending on if the chair is for outdoors or indoors use. Foam is also used to cover the steel pipe which is used as the back of the chair and follows the round form of the upper part of the chair. To connect these two elements and make the back more stable, a metallic plate with holes is used. It gives the chair also a more industrial look. Lastly, another steel pipe is used at the bottom to maintain the balance of the chair. That makes it impossible the chair to turn upside down. The tube is wider on the sides and more narrow on the back and front sides.
